Future sports video games will be far more interactive than anything that is available now. The Nintendo Wii opened the door for a whole new level of gaming that is perfectly suited towards sports. Allowing gamers to control the game through their movements will be far better than pressing buttons. Pretty soon sports games will have people run in place in order to run in the game and actually try to shoot a basketball or catch a line drive. It will be very similar to actually playing in real life, many game will be able to be played in a first person view and it will take real time reactions in order to be good at the games. Online versions of the game will almost be like playing a pick up game with someone in China, California, or Germany.
Wii is pretty neat to play. It really gets people involved in the video games. I agree that it will help people relate more to sports because sports are very interactive. Video games of the future will probably consist of having to attach little wires on your body which measures the movements and it will be like your playing the actual games in real life. Pretty interesting. If this invention really takes off, maybe people will lose weight because they are really moving like they would playing the actual game. Good blog!
ReplyDeleteVideo games are going really far. The Wii is really cool my four son has one and loves it. I think if the future video comes out like this blog says it will then it will be better for kids playing. It will keep them active like the should be and sitting down getting fat. By Jen Hight
ReplyDeleteI think the technology in video games is growing really fast and it is getting better every year. I think when Wii came out everyone had a glimpse of what the future of video games hold. i think this will be fun and it will also help obesity, it will actually help you lose weight instead of making you heavier and lazier!!
ReplyDeleteVideo games are a billion dollar industry and to no surprise will it keep evolving to the point of eventually playing live games with others through the internet with people on the other side of the world. I personally am still impressed with the Nintendo WII so any future adaptation of that gaming system will be even more impressive and something that will revolutionize the gaming industry even further
ReplyDeleteOnline, interactive gaming is becoming bigger than life! People spend so much time slipping into these virtual distractions. It is arguably the most popular form of entertainment there is. The Wii has changed everything with it’s virtual reality interaction and all of the different controls that can be physically manipulated. I think in the future we will see Wii turn completely virtual. Where we utilize the same instruments, but perhaps “plug in” in a different way, whether that is virtual goggles or an actual plug to one’s brain. Games are good entertainment, but some people cannot control having these gains envelope their lives.
ReplyDeleteVideo gamers, such as myself, find these video game consoles (i.e. Wii, Playstation, Xbox) amazing and a true work of art. Hey, art's in the eye of the beholder, right? Regardless, virtual reality and interactive games, such as the ones on Wii, are bringing the younger generation to a whole new level of technological understanding and innovation. I think also, the interactive'ness' of Wii games will allow children to exercise and begin to develop the basic level of need to exercise. So as these children become older and become more aware of themselves they can also exercise and stay in shape, lowering society's obesity rate.
